The Mechanical Automatic Watch

When worn, automatic watches harness the kinetic energy contained within the natural movement of your arm to generate the power required to function. Power generated via automatic winding or supplemental manual winding is stored in the movement’s mainspring and ensures a constant source of energy. This allows for continual operation when worn, and a period of operation when unworn. This timepiece does not require electrochemical power sources, does not require daily setting, and is an exquisite definition of efficiency.

Time-Only Watches

  1. Pull the crown out one click then rotate the crown until the current time is displayed.
  2. Push the crown in one click then rotate the crown clock-wise 10-20 times to manually wind the mainspring.

Time and Date Watches

  1. Pull the crown out two clicks then rotate the crown until the current time is displayed.
  2. Push the crown in one click then rotate the crown until the current date is displayed.
  3. Push the crown in one click then rotate the crown clock-wise 10-20 times to manually wind the mainspring.

Note: additional sub dial calendars may be set via buttons found on the side of the watch case.

Care

Case / Bracelet

Soiled areas may be cleaned with a damp soft cloth, then buffed with a dry polishing cloth.

Leather Straps

If the strap become wet, dry off excess water to avoid potential discoloration or premature deterioration.

Strap / Bracelet Screws

To prevent incidental loss, it is recommended to periodically check the tightness of any equipped strap / bracelet screws.

Note: cosmetic damages are not covered by the warranty. As such, it is recommended to use delicacy while cleaning and to avoid environments or chemicals that may accelerate wear.

Additional Usage Notes

  • Manually winding the mainspring briefly before wearing the watch, and periodically throughout the day increases the power reserve and helps wear the mainspring more evenly.
  • The mainspring in your watch cannot be over-wound like traditional manual wind movements.
  • If calendars are changing in the afternoon, rather than at midnight, advance the time 12 hours.
  • Do not attempt to remove any screws mounted to the case or bezel, some are for decorative purposes only.
  • Mechanical movements are sensitive to shock, do not wear your watch while playing sports or subject it to harsh environments.
  • Do not wear your watch too tight, as it may bend or strain the winding stem, and may damage spring bars.

Water Resistance Guidelines

Note: water resistance ratings are provided as a general guideline of usage, and offer no guarantee of maximum water resistance. Manipulation of the crown and / or buttons (if equipped), while the watch is in contact with water will negate the water resistance rating as water penetration may occur.

5 ATM - May be submerged for short durations, in normal temperature fresh water only. Not suitable for bathing, swimming, watersports, or diving.

10 ATM - Suitable for normal bathing and low duration / depth swimming, in normal temperature fresh water only. Not suitable for watersports, diving, extended periods of swimming. Not recommended for use in harsh environments.

20 ATM - Feature Dependent
